This forum has now been closed.. This is because Forums, in general, have been superseded by Social Media. If you search there for keywords like Recovery or Narcotics Anonymous, you'll find thriving communities ready to support you and tell you how they managed to break free (and stay free) of addiction.

Only in rare cases does this mean a home visit or a lift to a meeting, and if you were to visit an addict, there are certain guidelines [see below] including NOT going alone; always take another Recovering addict with you.
1. Find the meeting you want to edit.
2. Click on the NEW DRAFT tab at the top (only visible when logged in)
Welcome! You will find this website a good resource for information about Recovery, and there's no need to register.
But if you want to edit meeting info and/or add to certain discussions you'll need to register.
It is a simple process but must be followed to the letter.
1. Click on Register at the top
2. Choose a username. Type your email, and fill in the Captcha box [to prove you're not a robot]. Press submit.
The NA Helpline gets a lot of calls from Friends & Family of addicts.
The first question we ask is "Do they admit they have a problem?"
Because until they do, there's nothing anyone can do.
They have to want it for themselves.
It's difficult to NOT try to save them, but often the kindest thing you can do is stop enabling them.
To find out more, and to get support for yourself, give this fellowship a call.
